Susan Ufford

Susan Ufford is from Taiwan and is in her second year of teaching. Mrs. Ufford has been a pianist for 17 years and a cellist for 14 years.
After graduating high school in Taiwan, she attended Trinity University in San Antonio, where she got her Bachelor of Arts in Instrumental Music Education, as well as her Masters of Arts in Teaching. During her four undergraduate years at Trinity, she received music scholarships on both piano and cello. While at TU, she had the privilege to take cello lessons with Mr. David Mollenauer, assistant principal cellists of the San Antonio Symphony. She was principal cellists at the Trinity University Symphony Orchestra for four years and had the privilege to conduct TSO during her senior year. She taught her first year of orchestra in Maus Middle School in Frisco ISD as an assistant orchestra director.

Mrs. Ufford loves exploring music with others. Knowledge and growth are important to her, and she enjoys learning alongside her students and empowering to learn themselves. She is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) and Texas Orchestra Directors Association (TODA). She also performs the cello with New Texas Symphony Orchestra, a resident orchestra in the North Texas area. During her free time, Mrs. Ufford enjoys hiking and exploring the beautiful Texas nature with her husband, Brian. She also enjoys snuggling with her tuxedo cat, Francis, and her Shiba Inu puppy, Lila.
